A LATE QING DYNASTY GREEN AND AUBERGINE CUT SILK VELVET PANEL, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, of rectangular form and a left side squared panel with spread winged bat corners enclosing a fruiting persimmon branch, before three roundels of auspicious blossoming leafy stems, within a similar field of budding curled vinery, centered by a conforming green ground border of stylized blooms alternating scrolling foliate clusters, professionally matted on neutral raw silk cord covered panels, within a lucite case and giltwood frame. Height: 19.25" Width: 62.50" Condition: Good antique condition for textiles of this age, use, materials and country of origin including but not limited to expected faded and worn areas, old repairs, small tears and separations throughout. possibly reduced in size. Reverse side of frame fitted with hooks for choice of horizontal or vertical suspension.
