A PAIR OF CHINESE SANCAI GLAZED EARTHENWARE BUDDHISTIC LION AND ATTENDANT GROUPS, LATE 20TH CENTURY, in the Ming Dynasty style, each modeled in a standing position with scrolling mane and snarling expression, wearing traditional saddle blanket before a chest strap suspending bells and fly whisks, with one side centering an attendant in traditional attire standing with legs braced open while clutching a lead tie rope hung over one shoulder, raised on a rectangular stand centering a shaped skirt on scrolling feet.
