100-300 AD. Roman. Gold earrings each comprising a rosette design made up of alternating gold and gemstone petals arranged around a central dark green stone rondel. Three ribbed pendants with gemstone ornaments hang from below the flower. These beautiful items would probably have adorned the ears of Roman noblewoman.
