The left hand can hold the skullcup in the lap, a long life vase, or combination of the two.Thangtong Gyalpo was a physician who was famous for building iron bridges throughout Tibet as well as creating many new medical formulas for both healing and longevity. Many of his formulas are still used today. He is credited with many inventions, including the Tibetan Opera (Theatre) known as Achi Lamo. His meditation practices are still very much alive in Tibetan culture and traditions.
