A Gilt Copper Alloy Repoussé Plaque of Tantric Deity Kurukulla Tibet, circa 18th century21 cm x 16.5 cmKurukulla is a Tantric Buddhist meditational deity. Originating in India with four hands and one face. The first two hands hold an utpala bow and arrow, drawn near the ear. The lower right hand is in the gesture of bestowing fearlessness. The lower left holds a hook, adorned with jeweled ornaments and wearing upper and lower garments of silk, seated in the Vajrasana posture.From a Private Asian collection. Purchased from Bonhams New York online in 2020.
