狮面佛母，藏语称“森多玛”，意为化身护法。因其形象为狮头人身，故名狮面佛母，又称“狮头金刚”。相传他是观世音菩萨示现的护法。此尊雕像，狮子头，三目圆睁，张口龇牙吐舌，两耳肥实下垂。上身袒露，两乳下垂，身裸露。有两手臂：右手高举骷髅碗，左手当胸持钺刀，双足前后站立。原底座已失。狮面佛母属于藏密空行母一类，在喇嘛庙里，她常和虎头佛母、熊头佛母供奉一起：狮面佛母居中，虎头佛母居其右，熊头佛母居其左。北京雍和宫的讲经殿里就供有这样三位佛母。
