押经炉又称“压经炉”，宣德皇帝用以赏赐佛教寺院，后来佛寺多有仿制，成为专门的礼佛之物。此押经炉精铜铺雪花金，手感沈稳，底刻“宣德年制”四字长脚篆书款，款识深峻，刻剔精准，笔划壮硕，横平竖直。造型古雅厚重，口沿扁平宽厚，腹部圆鼓，其上两耳亦较宽厚，棱角清晰分明，底部有三乳足，皮色下露铜胎处可见铜质宝光灿然可比良金，乃精铜铸炼所致。炉身色呈栗红，屡有焚香，洒金点点，灿若云霞，熠熠生辉，铜色内敛，音利悠扬，诚沉佛音。置于书斋，分外清雅。
