Compare with a hand drum for ritual music in the Palace Museum, Beijing, Qing Dynasty, which is illustrated in the Zhongguo yinyue wenwu daxi: Beijing (Complete Collection of Chinese Musical Instruments: Beijing Volume), Shijiazhuang, 1999, p.127, pl.1.15.3.
