Compare with a hand drum for ritual music in the Palace Museum, Beijing, Qing Dynasty, which is illustrated in the Zhongguo yinyue wenwu daxi: Beijing (Complete Collection of Chinese Musical Instruments: Beijing Volume), Shijiazhuang, 1999, p.127, pl.1.15.3. 鼓身紫檀為材，邊起棱線，內淺浮雕連枝花卉紋，上下兩端浮雕如意雲頭紋，兩面覆皮。 此鼓或為手鼓改制，可參考北京故宮藏一件清代雅樂用手鼓，見《中國音樂文物大系·北京卷》，石家莊，1999年，頁127，圖1.15.3。
