17th century Carved after a Western Zhou dynasty bronze prototype, each side with three rows of raised bosses divided by two horizontal geometric-pattern bands and a pair of stylised cicadas in the centre, the lower section carved in low relief with a pair of archaistic kui-dragons, the stone of brownish-green and opaque russet tone. 18cm (7 1/8in) high.
