A Chinese blue and white export charger dating from the 18th century. The interior features alternating blue glazed and white low relief flowers surrounding a central roundel with a garden scene. Dimensions are: 1 1/4 inches tall X 13 3/4 inches wide, 3.2 cm X 34.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is chipping to the rim, including one large chip. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
