A Chinese blue and white export charger dating from the 17th or 18th century. The interior of the lobed plate features a Kraak ware design with landscapes. The exterior of the charger has floral designs. Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 14 1/2 inches wide, 5.7 cm X 36.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Extensive chipping to the rim. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
