A Chinese blue and white export charger dating from the 17th or 18th century. The interior has lotuses on a geometric ground surrounding a roundel with lotuses and two birds. The exterior and bottom feature flowers. Dimensions are: 1 3/4 inches tall X 13 1/2 inches wide, 4.4 cm X 34.3 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The foot has been drilled for hanging. There are two areas of repair to the rim as well as one small chip. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area.
