A Chinese blue and white export bowl dating from the 18th century. The interior features a landscape roundel with a rock motif, a willow tree, and flowering branches. The roundel is surrounded by a geometric band with flowers as well as a band of flowers. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 11 1/2 inches wide, 6.4 cm X 29.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a large scratch to the exterior and very minor rim chips. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area.
