A Chinese blue and white export charger dating from the 18th century. The interior features a lotus surrounded by flowering branches and tracery. There are floral motifs to the exterior and a leaf design on the bottom. Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 13 3/4 inches wide, 5.7 cm X 34.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is one area of repair and extensive chipping to the rim. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area.
