C. 300 BC. Celtic Iron Age. Bronze omega brooch with circular hoop, rounded terminals and well-preserved loop pin. The metal of the brooch now displays a gorgeous deep green patina. In ancient Celtic societies brooches were used not only as jewellery but also as ritual objects with high monetary values and portable stores of wealth.
