SignedMy favourite memory of Ray was when he did a demonstration in Atlanta, Georgia. He did his usual platter demo producing a rim detail, cutting it away and doing another to show a variety of rim treatments. After going through 8 or 10 different designs, he said he would finish the platter and leave it for the local chapter. As he made the second cut, the piece split and half went up into the light fixture and the other half flew down the centre aisle of the group. Luckily it did not hit anyone. He collected the two pieces, signed one, Dale Nish and Nick Cook stating he could not put his name on such a disaster. He did finally sign it and I kept it. Ray had a great sense of humour.
