Bonnie Klein (USA) ash threaded box 7x6cm. SignedRay and I have known each other since the mid 1980’s. I was fortunate to be his teaching assistant at Arrowmont for 3 years and learned a tremendous amount during those fun times. Our paths continued to cross over the years at symposiums in the UK and here in the USA. He has been a guest in our home several times while teaching workshops in our area. Ray’s love of box making rubbed off on me, so “our” collaboration just had to be a box. Since I have a reputation for making threaded boxes, my “twist” was to make it a box with a threaded lid. I enjoyed the memories that kept coming to me as I was working on this piece of wood from Ray’s shop.I will miss his humor, his energy, his willingness to share, but most of all Ray’s gift of gab!
