A large Tibetan repoussé gilded copper Buddha Bhaiṣajyaguru, 17th -18th century, Tibet, H 55 cm, W 38 cm, Cast in several parts. Seated in vajrāsana on a lotus base, his right hand holding in cinmudrā while his left hand resting on his lap as if he holding an alms bowl. With a serene expression, long earlobes, his forehead adorned with the ūrṇā (missing) and his high bun is topped with the uṣṇīṣa. Some flaking of the gilding on the face and head. Some dents and wear from age.
