Six famille rose c and saucers, Xianfeng period (1851-1861), China, Saucers; D 13.5 cm, C; D ca. 8.8 cm, H 5.5 cm, From a Dutch estate, passed down through the family. A superb set of six c and saucers each decorated to a very high standard with colourful famille rose enamels and showing a group of figures in a garden. All marked with a Xianfeng seal mark in iron-red and of the period (1851-1861). One cup with a miniscule fleabite on the top rim (see close-up photo). One saucer with a small flake of the enamel in the robe of the male figure (result from a small scratch, see close-up photo). Slight wear of the gilding. Apart from that there is no damage; no other chips, no hairlines and no restoration whatsoever.
