Late Period, 30th Dynasty, Ca. 380 - 343 BC.An ancient Egyptian turquoise glazed faience shabti. The Shabti is shown wearing a tripartite wig and a plaited false beard and holding a pick and hoe. Facial features are rendered in a naturalistic manner. The body is inscribed with ten horizontal incised rows of hieroglyphs from Chapter Six of the Book of the Dead and naming the owner.
