Ca. 100-300 AD.A bronze bust of Bacchus, the Roman god of agriculture, wine, and fertility, equivalent to the Greek god Dionysus. The god is depicted bare-chested with lowered head, staring down. His thick hair is arranged in wavy locks and his face is further framed by an abundant beard. Facial and anatomical features are rendered in an extremely naturalistic manner, with much attention given towards details.
