补子主体为一只仙鹤立于山石之上，望日而升，通体以金丝盘金绣满，海水汹涌，祥云密布，八吉祥环绕，补子四边为福寿纹饰，绣工严谨平整，设色以金色为主，银色为辅，主次鲜明，金碧辉煌。按《大清会典》记载，依其形制应为清代一品文官所用之补，方寸之间，尽显其工艺之精美及历史价值之珍贵。
