玉璧形制规矩，璧的内外边沿略低，内外边缘均饰有阴线区隔纹饰，两面纹饰相同，均雕琢蒲纹。整器形制做工具有早期风格。《周礼•大宗伯》有“子执谷璧，男执蒲璧”的记载，今人解释“蒲璧”，认为即指璧上有似蒲的纹样。查周、秦、汉之玉璧，只有此类璧可称为“蒲璧”，璧上之纹即为“蒲纹”。
