黄玉玉质细腻，光润，巧以红棕色皮雕琢童子的开脸、衣纹、莲蓬。圆雕兼镂雕童子坐于莲叶之上，眉眼弯弯笑意盈盈，直鼻、小口，开脸圆润，双耳紧贴侧脸，稚拙可爱。面部朝前，双手在身体两侧手执莲花长颈。身着锦地纹马甲长衫，双腿交叉。身下莲花枝蔓缠绕，灵动优美。头顶荷花含苞待放，荷叶好似随风摇曳，身体一侧莲花中央拱起俏色莲蓬尤为讨巧，与童子开脸相互呼应。整器雕琢独具匠心，取意“莲生贵子”，吉祥美好，题材乃民间甚为欢喜的主题。流传至今而保存完好，当为佳品。
