Supported on a flat circular base, decorated in bright shades of underglaze blue, the body painted with two large leaf shaped panels, each enclosing either lotus, a spray of blossoms, or a sprig of berries, reserved on a blue ‘cracked ice’ ground reverse decorated with lotus and scrolling leafy tendrils, a pendant band of stylised flame pattern around the shoulder, the base unglazed, together with carved wood covers.
