Each decorated in shades of underglaze blue,prising: one hexagonal vase of trumpet form with flaring mouth, painted with a scene of two ladies in a terraced garden standing on either side of a table bearing a vase, one lady holding a fan, with birds and insects flying overhead, surrounded by flowering prunus and rockwork, the base unglazed; and a gu form vase, with wide midsection and flared mouth, the lower register painted with children playing, the midsection painted with floral sprays, the upper register painted with a scene of figures in a garden, one holding a bamboo rod overhead, with onlookers standing nearby, surrounded by rockwork and plantain, the glazed base with the six character mark of Chenghua in underglaze blue. Period: Kangxi (1662‑1722). Height: 21.5‑22.5 cm.
