Ca. 100-300 AD The enlightened one is seated in dhyanasana with his hands folded in his lap, his face portraying a peaceful expression, with a gentle smile around his mouth, with heavy, ridged eyelids, an aqueline nose, long pendulous ears, centred by a raised urna, with elaborate coiffure featuring a topknot (ushnisha). The robe drapes over both shoulders, undulating in high relief across the torso, gathering in folds over the legs and falling over a cushioned seat.
