Greek South East Italy, Ca. 4th Century BC A Daunian trozella with a round-bellied body and its characteristic two pairs of disks, one at the top of each high strap handle and another at each point where the handle meets the shoulder. Wide opening with a flat, flaring rim. The vessel stands on a splayed, round foot. Decorated in brown with olive leaves, on the reverse horizontal lines and three palmettes. Size: L:260mm / W:190mm ; 915g Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formely in High Wycombe Estate collection; previously acquired from Art dealer in New Zealand, 2016.
