A Chinese gilt bronze statue of Amitayus dating from the 18th century. He sits in padmasana on a double lotus pedestal. His hands rest together in his lap in dhyana mudra and were originally holding a water vessel. He wears a voluminous dhoti with incised borders. Lots of jewelry, a crown, and a celestial shawl also adorn his body. Dimensions are: 6 3/4 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches long X 3 1/2 inches wide, 17.1 cm X 10.8 cm X 8.9 cm. Weight: 1376 grams. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are missing elements to the jewelry, and the water vessel is missing. The hair finial has been repaired. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece after its initial manufacture as diligently as possible; however, as stated in our terms, condition reports are statements of opinion and not representations or warranties.
