A Russian silver gilt, gem-set, plique-a-jour and shaded cloisonne enamel bowl, Nikolai Alekseev, Moscow, circa 1908-1917. Of circular form with alternating large and small lobed body, the upper border decorated with multi-color plique-a-jour enamel floral sprays over a cream ground, between cabochon stones, the lobed lower body decorated with multi-color geometric and foliate motifs. Dimensions: 3 in. x 4 3/8 in. diameter at top (7.6 x 11.1 cm).
