A pair of Chinese ge glaze lidded jars dating from the 19th century. The tan body of each jar features blue and white depictions of six scholar's objects and two inscriptions. Each lid features a seventh scholar's object. Each jar has a 4-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: each measures 13 1/2 inches tall X 10 inches wide, 34.3 cm X 25.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One lid is repaired and overpainted. The interior of one body has a star crack. The other lid and body have no noted damage.
