Dimensions; Height: 22 5/8" Diameter: 15 3/4" Stand Height: 3 1/8" Diameter: 10 3/4" FINEST Large Chinese Qing Dynasty Red dragon and blue wrapped floral porcelain reward vase. Delicately potted in a celestial globular body with round shoulder further to cylindrical tall neck with flat opening, raised on flat base. The exterior decorated with hand painting of writhing copper-red five claws dragons soaring amidst dense of blue under-glazed chrysanthemum and scrolling tendrils. Banded with interlocking ruyi heads beneath Lishui water ribbon on the rim. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. The shape is uniformly proportioned, the immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well drawn, clear, subtle, and distinct. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. Elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand. The under base bear a reign mark, a six underglazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
