Dimensions; 6.75in H x 4.5in W x 3.125in D Chinese Ming Dynasty Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze Bodhisattvas figure of Avalokiteshvara. As the nature of all Buddha, seated Avalokiteshvara, with resplendent, smiling, peaceful face and radiant. Decorated in front with a gilded demi-florette. Long shawl is draped over the arms and broad ribbons cascade to the shoulders from the crown. There is extensive gilding remaining and traces of blue pigment in the hair. Adorned with many attractive silks and jewels. Right hands raised holding a sword , left hand on heart level in Tajrani Mudra, gesture ward of evil. Seated in full lotus position upon double lotus throne. The under base marked with double crossed vajra.
