MAITREYA Bronze Tibet 15th century Dimensions: Height 9,5 cm with base Weight: 164 grams A small bust of Buddha Maitreya, Buddha of the Future. He is holding a water flask in one hand, the other hand is holding a stem or branch with lotus flowers growing at his side and the dharmachakra resting on it. He has a distinct face with a prominent nose and broadly smiling lips, the eyes are downcast. The whole body is adorned with jewellery and beaded belts, a tiara decorates the head with a small stupa in the centre.
