PRAJNAPARAMITA Bronze India 16th century Dimensions: Height 16 cm ; Wide 8 cm ; Depth 5 cm Weight: 460 grams The four-armed Goddess of Wisdom is standing on a small lotus base on a rectangular plinth on four feet. She is standing under an arched gate with two attendants standing next to her feet. Two small Buddhas are seated on the pillars next to her and one Buddha is seated in the centre on top of the arch, all of them forming the dhyana mudra and seated in padmasana. The goddess is wearing a striped dhoti and is standing in tribhanga pose with her left hip drawn up. She is holding the script, her main attribute, and a lotus flower. The arch is decorated with stone inlay and a temple bell is placed on the top. The back of the gate is flat.
