BUDDHA Bronze Laos , 18th century Dimensions: Height 24 cm Wide 12 cm Depth 6 cm Weight: 930 grams Buddha seated on multi-levelled plinth, the back is flat. The head is separated from the body. Buddha is seated in lotus pose, left hand in his lap, right hand touching the earth. He is dressed in elaborate costume with belts and sashes. He is wearing a decorative headpiece. The body is slightly bent to the front, creating a humble image. The face is stylized and smooth, the elongated earlobes decorated with pendants.
