She is standing in a wide stance with the front leg bent called alidhasana. Her upper body is tilted upwards, the face turned towards the sky. In her upraised hand she is holding a skull cup called kapala, the other hand is holding a kartrika, a crescent-shaped ritual knife. The two attributes together symbolize the unison of wisdom and skill.
