STANDING MANJUSRI Bronze , face cold gilt , Tibet or Ladakh , 13th century Dimensions: Height 14 cm Weight: 288 grams Standing Manjushri on small circular plinth with incisions. He is wearing a dhoti and armlets, anklets and bracelets. In one hand he is wielding the sword, the other is holding the stem of a large lotus flower upon which lies the sutra script. The head is small with a friendly face and he is wearing a three-pointed crown. The hip is slightly tilted to one side, standing in tribhanga pose.
