作为中国当代著名的实验艺术家，邓国源对斑斓艳丽的色彩的韵律有著敏锐的感觉。多年来，他一直对抗过于肤浅的现代主义趋势和当代的潮流，1993年开始致力于探索以东方的文化精神与西方当代艺术的融合，强调现代绘画表现的多样性，崇尚尊重自然，裂变传统，力主艺术语言的表现张力。摒弃艺术作品中的平庸与典雅，创立了一套完全利用中国绘画传统和以自然为中心主题的表达方式。
《春景》绘制于2002年，从画面上我们很容易看出，那自由奔放、大刀阔斧的笔触，充满著画家对于大自然强烈表现的一种欲望。
