程及先生是旅居美国享有国际声誉的水彩画家。程及先生早年到上海，1931年加入上海白鹅画会，开始研习西画， 并于1940年在上海举办个人水彩画展， 1947年应邀赴美国作文化交流，后当选为美国国家艺术院终身院士，作品珍藏于美国纽约大都会博物馆。他以东方人特有的思想文化理念去探索世界，把中国文化的气质、精神、格调带进了西方文化；从中国人的视角，他洞开了寓中于西的一条道路，形成极为独特、高超的绘画语言，创造出东西合璧、充满诗意的画境。
