A FOOTED TINNED COPPER QAJAR BASIN Iran, 19th century Of compressed hemispherical shape, resting on a splayed conical foot, with slightly everted rim, three main registers of engraved decoration, closer to the base drooping polylobed vegetal medallions, above them a row of palmettes, below the rim a band of bold nasta'liq calligraphy with the names and titles of the Fourteen Innocents against a hatched ground with scrolling vegetal tendrils, 15cm high and 30cm diam.
