AN EXTREMELY FINE SILK QUM RUG, CENTRAL PERSIA approx: 5ft.1in. x 3ft.1in.(155cm. x 94cm.) The coral field with delicate flowering vine around apricot shaped double floral medallion with pendants. Inner frame in similar style. In yellow border of stylised palmettes and arabesques between flowering vine, zig-zag and plain stripes. This rug has full pile with very soft silk quality. Extremely fine weave, approx: 11 x 10 knot per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. In general this rug is in very good condition throughout. Ends and selvages original. Attractive.
