A FINE KASHAN DABIR RUG, CENTRAL PERSIA approx: 7ft.4in. x 4ft.9in.(224cm. x 145cm.) The ivory field with polychrome floral sprays, palmettes and perching birds. Around light blue large floral medallion with bold rosette centrepiece. Shaped linked spandrels similar. In rust border of floral cartouches between flowering vine and plain stripes. This rug has full pile. Ends with fringes, secured, one with original kilim. Selvages rebound, well done and very well blended. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 7 knots per sq.cm. In general this rug is in very good condition throughout. Good type. Elegant piece.
