A LARGE AGRA CARPET, NORTH INDIA approx: 15ft.8in. x 10ft.7in.(476cm. x 322cm.) Soft light rust field with overall design of bold polychrome palmettes, stylised floral sprays and leafy vine. In broad ivory border of angular rosette and leafy vine between floral meander, arrow-head and plain stripes. This carpet has slight wear to the pile, down to knot collar in few places, otherwise good pile. Cotton selvages. Ends with short fringes, secured. Few small areas of wear on the back of the carpet edges which is not affecting the pile at all. Very good type and good colour combination. Design is well balanced. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition throughout. Attractive piece.
