AN IMPORTANT SILVER- AND COPPER-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITABHA, TIBET, 13th/14th ct., seated in vajrasana with both hands elegantly resting on his lap in dhyanamudra, wearing a diaphanous dhoti, short scarfs floating around his arms, jewellery partly inlaid with silver and copper, his face displaying a serene expression with silver-inlaid eyes and urna, smiling lips, elongated earlobes with pierced circular ear rings and his hair is combed in a chignon topped with a ratna secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of pattras and floating ribbons - Provenance: From an important collection of Tibetan art, assembled prior to 2010 - Wear, minor repairs, partly chipped
