Japan, 19th / 20th century, Japanese porcelain blue and gold dinner service, early 19th century. Set of 8, 3 inch-diameter dia cups, 8, 2 inch diameter sake cups, 8, 5 1/4 inch diameter bread plates, 8, 8 1/2 inch diameter dinner plates, 8, 6 inch diameter salad plates, and a 4 1/2 inch diamter bowl with footed stand. Pattern of repeated blue and gold medallions, with curled dragon at center, and red tracing around all gold parts. Slightly scalloped edges and very deep plates. Mark on bases. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Overall good condition, very minor surface wear to some of the gilt rims.
