题识：韵语阳秋，载欧易公在扬州，暑月会客，取荷花千朵插画盆中，围绕坐席。又命坐客传花，人摘一叶，尽处饮以酒。故《答李通诗》云：“千顷芙渠盖水平，扬州太守旧多情。画盆围处花光合，红袖传来酒令行。”又六月二十四日为观莲节，朝采与其夫水，以莲子馈遗为欢。故成都古今记以六月为香市，其所来远矣。刘墉。钤印：刘、范午

扇面刘墉（1720—1805），字崇如，号石庵，祖籍安徽砀山，出生于山东诸城。清朝政治家、书法家。大学士刘统勋长子。乾隆十六年（1751年）中进士，历任翰林院庶吉士、太原府知府、江宁府知府、内阁学士、体仁阁大学士等职，以奉公守法、清正廉洁闻名于世。刘墉的书法造诣深厚，是清代著名的帖学大家，被世人称为“浓墨宰相”。
