In the Style of Wang Yan (um 1700), Mountain Landscape with Two Scholars on Mules, China, Qing dynasty, hanging scroll, 166 x 80 cm, ink and light colors on paper. The signature and seals are on a separate piece of paper inserted into the picture: "Painted in the style of Huanghe shanqiao (Wang Meng, 1308-1385), in summer of the renchen year (1712), Buyun Wang Yan." Two seals of the artist: "Buyun", "Wang Yan". Wang Yan, style name Buyun, was a landscape painter from Wujiang in Jiangsu. He painted in the literati style of Dong Yuan and Juran.
