In the Style of Wang Hui (1632-1717), Mountain Landscape with two Scholars under a Group of Pines, China, 18th ct., Hanging scroll, 133,5 x 45,3 cm, ink and light colors on paper. Seven-word-poem by the artist with signature: "On full moon in the tenth month in the jiashen year(1704) painted in the style of Huanghe shanqiao (Wang Meng, 1308-1385) and Juran (active ca. 976-993), Shiguzi Wang Hui." Five seals of the artist: "Seal of Wang Hui" (Wang Hui zhi yin), "Shigu", "Dayuan", "Gengyan sanren", "Laiqingge". Five genuine collector's seals of the well known collector and art connoisseur Liu Shu (1759-1816) from Suzhou: "Liu Shu zhen wan zhi yin", "Rongfeng jiancang", "Huabu Hanbizhuang shoucang", "Huabu Liu shi jia cang", "No'an'. One more collector's seal. Two scholars are strolling beneath a group of tall pines along a mountain creek and heading for a temple high in the mountains.
