壶作宫灯式，紫泥砂胎，壶身上挺，圈足高深，直流塑以竹节状，侧处贴饰竹纹。壶把呈枝干状，长弧蜿蜒，其形延伸至壶身两侧，并贴饰数片梅瓣纹。嵌盖，且口盖相合，盖面桥钮饰松虬，侧处贴饰松叶与枝干纹。松、竹、梅被世人喻为“岁寒三友”，枝叶常青的松柏、寒冬而不凋零的竹子、傲雪绽放的梅花，三者饰于茗壶，风尚妍雅。
